This was an action brought in the Hustings Court of the city of Roanoke by notice of motion for judgment by John Brown by his next friend (herein referred to as plaintiff) against the Roanoke Railway and Electric Company (herein referred to as the Electric Company) and the Virginian Railway Compapy (herein referred to sometimes as the Virginian and sometimes as the Railway Company), co-defendants.
