— While employed as a staff attorney for the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), Cathy Blinka was subpoenaed to give deposition testimony in a suit against the WSBA initiated by a former employee. In her deposition, Blinka was asked about discriminatory practices at the WSBA. Blinka’s answers were extremely unfavorable to the WSBA and included allegations of sexual harassment, racial discrimination, and abusive management.
