The first question raised by these appeals is whether the trial court erred in overruling appellants’ pretrial motions to dismiss the indictments because of alleged irregularities in the grand jury proceedings. Specifically, appellants allege that Judges Joseph R. Kainrad and George E. Martin improperly appeared as witnesses before the grand jury, having both participated in the jury selection process.
