This original proceeding concerns named defendants’ efforts to designate a former co-defendant as a responsible third party in a wrongful death suit.1 The plaintiffs nonsuited the former co-defendant— Wynnewood Refining Company, LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of a named defendant—less than sixty days before trial and after the date beyond which their claims against it would be time-barred.
