This was a suit in the court helow by the appellee against the appellant to recover compensation for services alleged to have been performed by him as sheriff of Yavapai County. There was judgment for appellee. The complaint is in two counts,—the first being for a balance alleged to be due for services rendered during the quarter year ending March 31, 1889, and the second'for a balance for the quarter ending June 30, 1889. There was a demurrer to each count of the complaint upon the ground that neither of them stated facts sufficient to constitute a cause of action against the defendant. The…
