Yetka, Justice.

This is an appeal from an order of the Hennepin County District Court affirming actions of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (the Board) and the Minneapolis Civil Service Commission (the Commission). The matter came before the district court on writs of certiorari. We affirm.

Appellants are all full-time school teachers. Appellant Laurence E. Hendrickson in 1969, and the other appellants in 1970, applied to the Board and were hired to serve as park patrolmen.
