Exceptions before sentence from Jackson; Parkinson, J. George H. Lumley was convicted of furnishing intoxicating liquor to a minor.

Respondent was convicted, under Act No. 160, Pub. Acts 1909, of furnishing beer to one Grace Bassett, as a beverage. The second section of the act reads as follows:

“Sec. 2. It shall not be lawful for any person to sell, furnish, or give to any minor as a beverage any brewed, malt, fermented, spirituous, vinous or intoxicating liquor or any mixture containing any of said liquors.”

Upon the trial the respondent testified that a building which he owned, and in which he did business, in the village of Michigan Center, in Jackson county, was the headquarters of a certain club known as the Lake-view…
