Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Gary, J.), rendered July 11, 1994, convicting him of manslaughter in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

Contrary to the defendant’s contentions, the trial court did *563not err in refusing to reinstruct the jury on intoxication when it responded to the jury’s request to "explain, define intent”. When a jury requests further instructions with respect to the law, the trial court is obligated to "give such requested information or instruction as the court deems…
