Following a jury trial, Deiby Billu was convicted of attempted murder in the first degree, assault in the third degree, and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm during the commission or attempted commission of a crime of violence. He now appeals his convictions, arguing that the Superior Court erred in admitting certain evidence, that the People presented insufficient evidence to convict him on any of the charges, that the People erroneously charged him with assault in the third degree, and that the People and the Superior Court…
