SULLIVAN, Judge:

Appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of a military judge sitting alone on April 5, 1996, at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea. He was found guilty, in accordance with his pleas, of 11 specifications of making a total of 93 bad checks with an intent to defraud, in violation of Article 123a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 923a. He was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for 7 months, total forfeitures, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade. On June 10, 1996, the convening authority approved this sentence.
