This case arises from the unprecedented destruction brought to the Mississippi Gulf Coast by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. The hurricane completely destroyed the home of plaintiffs-appellees-cross-ap-pellants, John and Claire Tuepker (“the Tuepkers”). Their residence and the property contained therein were insured by defendant-appellant-cross-appellee, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company (“State Farm”).
