The defendant was charged in an information with having committed the crime of arson in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § SSa-lll.1 *6He pleaded not guilty and elected a jury trial. He was found guilty as charged by the jury and was subsequently sentenced by the trial court to a term of ten years imprisonment.
