*1063Petitioner Gregory Davis, while in custody, waived his right to a preliminary hearing within 10 court days and 60 days of entering his plea. On the day scheduled for his preliminary hearing, the court declared a doubt as to Davis's mental competence and criminal proceedings were suspended. Nearly six months later, on June 26, 2017, Davis was found competent, criminal proceedings were reinstated, and the court reset the preliminary hearing for August 4, 2017.
