Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Chemung County (Buckley, J.), rendered March 19, 2001, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of robbery in the third degree.
Defendant was the subject of an indictment charging him with the crimes of robbery in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree based on allegations that he had forcibly robbed the female victim of a purse and a necklace.
