FOTI, J.

The plaintiff, Diane Molleur, appeals from the judgment rendered by the trial court granting the *469defendant William Perkins’1 motion to dismiss her appeal from the Probate Court for the district of Derby. The plaintiff claims that the trial court improperly dismissed her appeal after concluding that it lacked subject matter jurisdiction.2 We reverse the judgment of the trial court.
