The respondent in this attorney regulation case, Jerry Thomas Kearns, was convicted of vehicular assault, a class 4 felony, and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. The District Court for the City and County of Denver sentenced Kearns to three years’ confinement in the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC). A hearing panel of the supreme court grievance committee approved the findings and recommendation of a hearing board that Kearns be publicly censured.
