In this post-conviction relief proceeding, petitioner claims that his right to adequate assistance of counsel under the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States and Article I, section 11, of the Oregon Constitution, was violated when petitioner’s trial counsel failed to diligently and conscientiously exercise skill and professional judgment in the criminal proceedings that resulted in petitioner’s convictions for burglary, menacing, kidnaping and sodomy.
