Randall Dean Carver, proceeding pro se, instituted this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging that defendants Bobby and Betty Bunch violated his federally protected rights by denying him personal hygiene items for a period of two weeks while he was an inmate at the Warren County Jail, Bowling Green, Kentucky. Carver also alleges that defendants denied him reasonable access to the courts by denying him stamps, envelopes, writing material, “legal material,” and an opportunity to call his attorney.
