The plaintiff is the executor of Gustav Hammerstein, deceased, and as such he instituted this action at law, to recover of the defendants, as members of the Odd Fellows Mutual Aid Association of Missouri, the sum of one thousand dollars. The Odd Fellows Mutual Aid Association is an unincorporated society, and its object and purposes are fully stated in the case of Emma Hammerstein et al. v. Timothy T. Parsons et al., 29 Mo. App. 509.
