A Clay County jury convicted Mr. James W. Boyd of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the stabbing death of Mr. Jimmy Weber. The circuit court sentenced Mr. Boyd to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Mr. Boyd appeals and raises five points of error. All of the points relate in some manner to the admission or exclusion of evidence and argument. We conclude that the circuit court’s exclusion of evidence that Mr. Boyd suffers from a developmental disorder known as Asperger’s syndrome affected the outcome of the trial. As a…
