On the 12th day of March, 1909, defendants executed and delivered to plaintiff a promissory note in the sum of $579.60. The purpose of this action is to reduce that note to a judgment. Plaintiff is a corporation organized under the laws of the State of California, engaged in the general mercantile business, having its principal place of business at San Francisco. Prior to the date of the execution of the note, the defendant N.
