Michael Myers (Defendant) was charged by information with four counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault in the first degree, one count of sexual assault in the second degree, and two counts of sodomy. In August of 1995, Defendant was tried before a jury in the Franklin County Circuit Court. The jury found Defendant guilty on all counts and assessed punishment at fifteen years on each rape charge, seven years on each sexual assault in the first degree charge, five years on the sexual assault in the second degree charge, and fifteen years on each sodomy…
