Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Tioga County (Sgueglia, J.), rendered July 19, 1999, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of burglary in the first degree.

Defendant was charged in a 20-count indictment with multiple crimes arising from his burglary, assault of the homeowner during the burglary and subsequent standoff with police officers.
