William Jones died in the year 1868, leaving a last will and testament, which was duly probated, and the only question in this suit is the proper construction of the seventh clause of that instrument, which is as follows:

“Seventh—I do hereby give, devise and bequeath all the rest, remainder and residue of my estate and property, both real and personal, to my children, to be equally divided between them, and it is my will and intention that the representatives of my deceased children shall each take and receive out of the said residue of my estate the part that such deceased child would have…
