Section 964 of the Penal Law is a hybrid statute. Roughly condensed, this legislative enactment has made it a misdemeanor for one — with intent to deceive or mislead the public — to use the name, designation or style of any other person, firm or corporation (or any symbol or simulation thereof) when such use may deceive or mislead the public as to *829the identity or connection of the user.
