This was an action brought in the district court of Lyon county by R. R. McCandliss, as administrator of the estate of James St. Clair Allen, deceased, against the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fé Railroad Company, to recover for the benefit of the next of kin of the deceased, damages for injuries alleged to have been caused by the wrongful act of the defendant.
