Olympia, a city of the third class of the state of Washington, by appropriate resolutions and ordinances under the public utilities act of 1909, found in Rem. & Bal. Code, §§ 8005 to 8010 (P. C. 77 §§ 1073-1083), began proceedings to condemn and purchase the water system and plant belonging to the Washington Public Service Company, a corporation, located in and supplying the city of Olympia. After appropriate preliminary proceedings, a change of venue being taken from the superior court of Thurston county to the superior court of Pierce county, a trial was had therein by the jury for the…
