OPINION
SIMANDLE, District Judge:
This case arises under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”), codified at 29 U.S.C. § 1001 et seq. Although the factual setting of the case is relatively complex, the parties essentially seek a judicial determination of who properly bears the responsibility of paying for medical costs incurred by Virginia McCall prior to her recent death. Presently before the Court are cross-motions for summary judgment, brought pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 56 by Meadow View Geriatrics, Inc.
