Commonwealth v. Willstein
Superior Court of Pennsylvania
1Opinion of the Court
Opinion by
Heller, P. J.,
The appellant Mary Willstein, also known as Mary Orzechowska, was indicted under section 884 of the Penal Code (Act of June 24, 1939, P. L. 872) for the fraudulent conversion of a judgment note for $200 and $1,600 in money. She was found guilty, and was ordered released (on payment of costs) on probation for a period of two years, during which time sentence was suspended. See Com. ex rel. Paige v. Smith, Warden, 130 Pa. Superior Ct. 536, 543, 198 A. 812.
Section 834 of the Penal Code is a re-enactment of the Act of May 18, 1917, P. L. 241, with practically no change…
