I concur with the result of the majority opinion, but through a different analysis. First, I believe we must place this matter within the context of the overall legislative scheme of the Worker’s Disability Compensation Act (wdca), MCL 418.101 et seq.-, MSA 17.237(101) et seq., for worker’s compensation in this state.
