OPINION

{¶ 1} Raising four assignments of error, defendant-appellant Lynn Roberts appeals from his convictions and sentences for trafficking in heroin, in violation of R.C. 2925.03(A)(2), and possession of heroin, in violation of R.C. 2925.11(A). A jury returned verdicts of guilty on both offenses, and the trial court imposed a cumulative sentence of five years' imprisonment. While we overrule each of Roberts's assignments of error, because the offenses of drug possession and drug trafficking under R.C. 2925.03(A)(2) are allied offenses of similar import, the trial court's sentences must be…
