This is an action to recover damages for an alleged conversion of two hundred shares of the common stock of the Mack Truck Company, pledged by A. A. Gervis, plaintiff, to Kay, Richards & Co., a partnership, defend ants, and held by them to secure the unpaid balance of the purchase price advanced to plaintiff, who acquired the stock on margin through defendants’ brokerage office.
