This is an appeal from a partial summary judgment under rule 166a(a), Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, in favor of the plaintiff/appellee, Thomas Adams, III (“Adams”). Adams, a lawyer who formerly represented the defendants/appellants, Mel Powers (“Powers”) and Basin Cement Company, Inc. (“Basin”), filed a suit on a sworn account against his former clients to collect unpaid legal fees and attorney’s fees incurred in bringing the collection suit.
