Plaintiff sues for a commission of $1,250.00, under an agreement whereby this sum was to be paid him, by the defendant in this suit, for securing for the defendant a loan of $25,-000.00, on certain real estate owned by him.
The contract between the parties is evidenced by a letter addressed to plaintiff by defendant in the following words:
