hThis is a civil service case. The Appointing Authority, the New Orleans Recreation , Development. Commission *167(“NORDC”), appeals the August 18, 2016 decision of the City of New Orleans. Civil Service Commission (the “Commission”). In its appeal, NORDC raises the following two issues: (i) the timeliness of the appeal filed by the employee, Corey, Green, of his termination; and (ii) the sufficiency of NORDC’s evidence to meet its burden of establishing legal cause for the sanctions it imposed on Mr. Green — a thirty-day emergency suspension and termination.1 For the reasons…
