The state appeals from the judgment of the Appellate Court reversing the judgment of conviction of the defendant, Linda M. Stevens, who had appealed to that court challenging the sentence imposed on her by the trial court, in accordance with an agreement pursuant to State v. Garvin, 242 Conn. 296, 699 A.2d 921 (1997),1 subsequent to her plea of guilty under the Alford doctrine,2 to the charge of possession of narcotics in violation of General Statutes § 21a-279 (a).
