Tbe relator was convicted, in a justice’s court of tbe county of Ramsey, under tbe provisions of G. S. 1894, § 2171, upon a complaint charging bim with unlawfully having in bis possession one prairie chicken, which bad been taken in and shipped out of tbe state of North Dakota, in violation of tbe laws thereof. His sentence was imprisonment in tbe jail of Ramsey county for 10 days, and be was accordingly committed to tbe custody of tbe respondent as sheriff of tbe county.
