On April 15, 1965, Richard D. Peterson, applied to the Board of Trustees of the Firemen’s Pension Fund of the City of Des Plaines, Illinois, for a disability pension. Following a hearing, the Board entered an order denying the application. Peterson filed a complaint under the Administrative Review Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1965, ch. 110, par. 264 et seq.) in the circuit court of Cook County to review the decision of the Board.
