LATCHUM, Senior District Judge.
I. INTRODUCTION
On April 6, 1990, plaintiff China Resource Products (U.S.A.) Ltd. (“China Resource”) filed a breach of contract action to recover damages of $500,567.39 from defendant Fayda International, Inc. (“Fayda”). (Docket Item “[D.I.]” 1.) On June 2, 1989, China Resource contracted with Fayda to deliver 187 metric tons of aluminum rods at a price of $2,675 per metric ton (“Aluminum Contract”).
