This appeal arises out of the trial court’s judgment ordering the defendants to clean up their contaminated properties and surrounding areas pursuant to state hazardous waste and water pollution control statutes and regulations. The defendants appeal from the trial court’s judgment ordering them to remediate areas that had become contaminated with mercury, and assessing civil penalties for their violations of state environmental statutes.
