The facts appearing upon the record are as follows: Plaintiff A. G. Brenizer on 31 October, 1905, instituted an action in the Superior Court of Mecklenburg County for the purpose of recovering the sum of $1,400, alleged to be due him by the Supreme Council of the Royal Arcanum.
