—In 1996, defendant Clifton Lee Gibson was tried as an adult and convicted of first degree murder with special circumstances (Pen. Code, §§ 187, subd. (a), 190.2, subd. (a)(17)), 1 assault with a firearm (§ 245, subd. (a)(2)), and robbery (§ 211), which were committed when he was 17 years old, with two adult codefendants. He was ultimately sentenced to life without possibility of parole (LWOP) for the murder, consecutive to a determinate term of 12 years four months in prison.
