NORGLE, District Judge.
Before the court is Michael Boyce’s petition for habeas corpus relief pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. For the following reasons, the court denies the petition.
I. BACKGROUND
On August 15, 1990, a jury in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (“Circuit Court”), convicted Petitioner, Michael Boyce (“Boyce”), of first-degree murder. Boyce was sentenced to thirty-years of imprisonment. Boyce appealed to the Illinois Appellate Court and raised several claims.
