After appellee-plaintiff Frank Riedl’s daughter incurred approximately $36,000 in medical expenses at Anneewakee Treatment Center in Douglasville, Georgia, Riedl brought this contract action seeking that amount as coverage under a medical benefits policy issued by appellant-defendant North American Life & Casualty Company, Inc. (insurer), and also seeking punitive damages and attorney fees.
