OPINION

CONTRERAS, Judge.

This case presents the court with questions regarding the validity of compensation settlements within the existing framework of Arizona’s Workers’ Compensation system. The pivotal question is whether under our present statutes and case law a written settlement agreement between a claimant and the employer/carrier which settles post-compensability issues is valid.
