Glenn Ford, Ladell Jacobs and Robert Gipson were employed as “correctional residence counselors” at the Metro Community Correctional Center, a Chicago work release facility operated by the Illinois Department of Corrections. A jury heard evidence that the three had accepted bribes from residents in the form of cash, cocaine and automobile repair jobs in exchange for various favors.
