Defendant, Village of Glendale Heights, owns and operates a municipal sports complex which includes public swimming facilities. Plaintiff, George Burdinie, brought this action against defendant in the circuit court of Du Page County, seeking damages for physical injuries plaintiff allegedly sustained while participating in an adult swimming class held at defendant’s sports complex.
