MEMORANDUM OPINION DETERMINING DEBTOR’S RIGHT TO A PERSONAL PROPERTY EXEMPTION

Debtor Mary Eileen O’Keefe Bateman (“Debtor”) has filed a voluntary Petition under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, 11 U.S.C. § 1101, et seq. On Amended Schedule C to her petition, Debtor claimed as exempt, pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 522(b)(2) and 735 ILCS 5/12-1001(f), 1 her right to proceeds of an insurance policy payable to her by reason of death of the insured, her husband.
