OPINION OF THE COURT

JOHNSON, Judge:

Sergeant Guron was convicted of making a false official statement and stealing more than $100 from the United States.1 This is one of several recent cases involving unauthorized receipt of military allowances obtained by false certifications concerning dependency of family members, provision of certain levels of support to family members, expenditure of certain amounts for off-base quarters, or other matters that qualify the member for the allowance.
