A petition was filed by the State’s attorney of Alexander county in behalf of the People, on the relation of several persons, for leave to file an information in the nature of quo warranto against D. I. Kirkham and others, members of the board of education of proposed community high school district No. 17, in said county, inquiring by what authority they claimed to exercise corporate powers and franchises in holding said offices.
